Landeavor Purchases Oakland Park

Tampa, FL (September 20, 2018) – Landeavor, LLC, announces the purchase of Oakland Park, a 258-acre, traditional neighborhood development (TND) masterplan located on the border of Winter Garden, FL, and Oakland, FL. The purchase marks the twelvth acquisition for the residential development company and the third in the state of Florida. “Oakland Park is a very exciting investment for us,” states Mr Adam Lorry, Managing Principal of Landeavor. “The community truly has irreplaceable elements, qualities we look for when creating successful, vibrant communities.  Oakland Park is one of the most iconic communities in the State of Florida with its impeccable architecture, nearly a mile of frontage on Lake Apopka and its onsite access to the West Orange Trail, providing a short walk or bike ride to the bustling City of Winter Garden and the quaint Town of Oakland.  Furthermore, with easy access to the Florida Turnpike, it is a short commute into downtown Orlando and numerous job centers.”

Oakland Park is a partially-developed community, with over 300 occupied homes. Landeavor’s purchase includes vacant developed lots, undeveloped parcels, a commercially-zoned parcel and the community’s HOA amenity and common space.

“The Florida housing and job metrics remain solid and support our desire to continue to grow our portfolio in the state,” continues Mr Lorry.  Landeavor also has assets in Tampa and Naples, FL.

Landeavor intends to expand the housing available within the community by immediately developing more homesites and expanding inventory. “New home inventory in the immediate area is very scarce. We plan to immediately commence development to ease the inventory pressure on our builder partners,” comments Mr Lorry. Current builders within Oakland Park include David Weekley Homes, Dream Finder Homes, and a team of custom builders including J&J Building, RCB Homes, Vintage Estate Homes, Campbell Custom Homes and Wallace Design Build.

Oakland Park is a certified green development by the Florida Green Building Coalition and every home within the community is built to FGBC green standards.  With nearly a mile of protected shoreline along Lake Apopka, nature and preservation are important standards for the community. Trails, the community garden and parks and tree hammocks ensure that many elements of the unique Central Florida landscape are preserved.
